Luis Martinez, Head Coach
Coach Martinez has 25 years of managing and coaching at all levels of baseball. Graduated from Laredo Martin High School in 1978. He played for St. Edward’s University from fall of 1978 to Sping of 1982 as a pitcher and 3rd baseman. Managed Texas Sting 16U to 18U select team for four years before teaming up with TASBA and coach Pat Reid. Has coached for Pat Reid on and off for 10 years, training and coaching several age groups ranging from 12U to the High School level teams. Married for 30 plus years to Dora Martinez. Has 3 sons (Luis Jr., Jesse, and Robert), and 1 daughter (Clarissa) who all played or are currently playing college baseball or softball. Luis Jr. played for Ranger Junior college, Jesse went on to play at West Texas A&M College, and Robert is a sophomore currently playing for University of Texas, Tyler. Coach Martinez's daughter Clarissa also played her college softball at University of Texas, Tyler.
Luke Bomar, Assistant Coach
- Worked as instructor at UT baseball camps for five years.
- Co-director of Physical Fitness for Impact South Africa Sports Ministry in Cape Town, South Africa.
- Luke graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 2012 with a degree in education.
- Served as assistant hitting and outfield coach for Abilene Christian School
- Currently a throwing, fielding, and hitting instructor at TASBA
